Why There is Considerable Suffering in Ghana
Teachings of Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh

During the September 22, 2024, Religious Service of the Asomdwee Ntonton Som in Ekumfi Otuam, Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh addressed the predicaments, calamities, hardships, and catastrophes currently affecting Ghana. He emphasized that as a nation chosen by God, the people should not be experiencing such suffering. The root cause, he stated, is that they are not living up to the expectations of a God-appointed nation.
According to Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, Ghana is one of the three nations chosen by the Most High God, Rabbi, to establish His religion, along with Israel and Arabia. Currently, Israel and Arabia are recognized as nations of the Most High God, where the people worship a single God and their culture is built around their faith. However, Ghana has not yet reached this status. Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh asserts that Ghana will continue to experience suffering until it becomes a religious nation, fully devoted to the worship of the Most High God RABBI.
Why Is There So Much Suffering in Ghana?
Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh asserts that the premature deaths, diseases, illnesses, accidents, and hardships in Ghana are all signs that Ghanaians are not worshipping the True God, RABBI. According to Him, those who follow the True Religion and worship the Most High God, RABBI, in the proper way will not face such pain, suffering, and calamities in their lives.
According to Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, satan was cast onto the earth because of his arrogance and disobedience to the Most High God, RABBI. Before being banished, satan asked God to give him something that would make life on earth more bearable, as he knew that unlike Heaven, which was full of joy, the earth was dreary. God then made a pact with Satan, saying that Adam, the reason for your banishment, will have many descendants. You may have those who do not follow my laws or fulfill my wishes. Since arriving on earth, Satan has been working relentlessly to bring as many people as possible into his kingdom. Unfortunately, Satan has nothing good to offer his followers—only illnesses, diseases, pain, suffering, accidents, and calamities. Those who follow satan are the ones plagued by these afflictions.
How Can You Discover God’s Will and Follow It?
How can people know, understand, and follow the Most High God’s will? According to Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, the Most High God RABBI is a spirit. Because of this, humans cannot directly hear His voice or follow His commands without guidance. This is why God sends His Messengers to earth. These Messengers reveal God’s will, laws, and commands to humanity. Originally powerful spiritual beings in the heavens, the Most High God RABBI’s messengers are born of women, take on human form, and live among people. At the appointed time, they start their mission, teaching the people the ways of God. According to Okronkronyi, following the teachings of these Messengers is essential for humanity to find salvation on Judgement Day.
For example, God gave Moses a Religion, Judaism, along with a Holy Book, the Torah, to guide the people of Israel. Similarly, God sent Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Unto Him) with a Religion, Islam, and a Holy Book, the Quran, to guide the people of Arabia.
However, Christianity was not founded by a Messenger sent by God, nor does it have its own original, divine scripture. Christianity was established by individuals and groups of individuals who spread it around the world. The Bible, which is used in Christianity, was derived from the scriptures intended for Judaism. For this reason, the Most High God does not recognize Christianity as His true religion. In God’s true religions, He always sends a messenger with both a Religion and a Holy book. Without this divine foundation, a religion cannot be seen as authentic, and Christianity, lacking this foundation, is not considered a religion of the Most High God RABBI.
What Are the Wishes of God?
In Exodus 15:26, the Most High God RABBI makes a promise to humanity: if they follow His word and fulfill His will, He will grant them a good life. The verse says, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in His eyes, if you pay attention to His commands and keep all His decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”
This passage highlights God’s wish for obedience to His commands in exchange for His divine protection and healing.
Knowing That God Is One
According to Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, a fundamental principle in God’s true religions is the belief in the oneness of God. Both Islam and Judaism, recognized as God’s true Religions, uphold this essential belief. In Deuteronomy 6:4, it is stated: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” Similarly, in Quran 112:1, it is proclaimed: “Say, O Prophet, ‘He is Allah—One and Indivisible.’” The acknowledgment of God’s singularity is therefore central to following His wishes.
What Does Oneness of God Mean?
Understanding that “God is One” means worshipping only the Most High God RABBI, without creating or venerating any other deities or representations. In Exodus 20:2-6, God declares:
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.”
According to Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, belief in the Trinity violates this principle of God’s oneness. He explains that the Trinity was a deity worshipped some 700 years before Christ’s birth, later adopted and rebranded by Christianity. The oneness of God also forbids seeking spiritual assistance from intermediaries, such as spiritualists; consulting a Mallam, a fetish priest, or any other spiritualist is prohibited. The use of items like calendars, powders, Florida water, creams, pomades, amulets, or talismans is also seen as a violation of God’s singular authority.
God’s True Religion in Ghana: Asomdwee Ntonton Som
Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh asserts that now that the Most High God’s True Religion has arrived in Ghana, everyone should abandon their current religious practices and embrace Asomdwee Ntonton Som, the true and authentic religion of the Most High God RABBI.
According to Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, following the Most High God in the right way brings both earthly and heavenly salvation. When you adhere to God’s path correctly, you will experience: (1) good health, (2) success and prosperity in all your endeavors, and (3) a long life, free from premature deaths and accidents.
What Will Happen on Judgment Day?
Revelation 20:11-15 describes the events of the Day of Judgment:
First stage: If you accept the oneness of God while on earth, your name will be written in the Book of Life (Nkwa Nwoma). If your name is not found in the Book of Life, you will be cast immediately into hellfire.
Second stage: If your name is recorded in the Book of Life, you will gain salvation. Your good and bad deeds will be weighed. Based on this evaluation, there are seven levels in Heaven, each offering different degrees of joy and happiness. The points you accumulate from your deeds will determine which level you reach, from the first to the seventh. The passage from Revelation 20:11-15 further elaborates:
“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
