Ɔkronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh Debunks Certain Biblical Interpretations
He Says God Did Not Destroy the Entire World with the Flood
Written by Mensah Adinkrah, Ph.D.
According to the narrative commonly read in the Bible, the Flood in the time of Noah is often interpreted as having destroyed the entire world. However, Ɔkronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh has challenged this interpretation.
He explains that during Noah’s time, the continents already existed, but human beings lived only on a small portion of the earth. It was this inhabited section—rather than the entire globe—that he says God destroyed with water.
Ɔkronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh also disputes the biblical account that only eight people entered the Ark. He teaches that 72 people boarded the Ark. These, He says, included Noah and his wife; Noah’s sons—Ham, Shem, and Japheth—and their wives; as well as 64 of Noah’s servants. According to him, they helped Noach construct the Ark. They entered the Ark with Noah and his family It was these servants who later migrated after the flood and populated regions such as Asia, India, and Australia.
Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh teaches that there is a great deal of information within the scriptures—including the Bible and the Qur’an—that is not true. According to him, these inaccuracies persist because the sacred texts were written long after the Messengers of God had departed the earth, and thus the authors, relying on memory and hearsay, introduced errors despite their sincerity. In this framework, Ɔkronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh presents himself as the Spirit of Truth who was prophesied to appear in the last days to disclose the pure, unadulterated truth.
Jesus the Christ of Nazareth foretold this coming, saying: “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come” (John 16:12–13, NIV).
