Who is Satan?
Teachings of Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh
Written by Mensah Adinkrah, Ph.D.
According to Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, Satan was once a very powerful spiritual entity, dwelling among the divine beings in Heaven, until his arrogance led to his downfall.
The Fall of Satan
Satan’s descent began after the creation of Adam. The Most High God, RABBI, tasked all spiritual entities with naming His creations. None succeeded, but Adam did. Recognizing Adam’s accomplishment, God instructed the spiritual entities to bow down and pay homage to Adam. All complied, except Satan. His refusal to submit to Adam’s authority marked his rebellion against God. Consequently, God banished Satan from Heaven and sent him to dwell on earth.
Before departing Heaven, Satan requested compensation for leaving its splendor and descending to the desolate earth. God informed him that Adam would have numerous descendants, and those who chose not to follow the Most High God would belong to Satan. This marked the beginning of Satan’s mission to claim human souls.
Satan’s Nature and Mission
- Greed and Deception:
- Satan is described as the greediest entity on earth. His insatiable hunger for power and souls drives him to work tirelessly to win people over to his kingdom.
- He uses deception and ignorance to achieve his aims, thriving on the lack of true knowledge about the Most High God, RABBI.
- Satan’s Aids:
- Satan is not alone in his rebellion. He is supported by deviant spirits—beings who have abandoned the Most High God and chosen to assist Satan in his endeavors.
- Satan’s Kingdom:
- Satan’s domain is Hell, a fiery and tormented place located deep within the earth. It is the final destination for souls that reject the path of righteousness.
- Absence of Holy Spirit:
- When Satan was cast out, the Most High God stripped him of the Holy Spirit. This loss limits Satan’s powers, particularly his ability to issue commands that can travel over vast distances.
- Enemy of Exaltation:
- Satan despises those who exalt the Most High God, especially those who call upon His name, RABBI, with praise. Uttering phrases like “RABBI Ye Kese Oye Kese Ampa” (“RABBI is Great, He is Great Indeed”) repels Satan and weakens his influence.
Satan’s Impact on Humanity
Satan is held responsible for much of the suffering that plagues humanity. Those who align with him or fall into his traps are rewarded only with misfortune. His “gifts” include suffering, accidents, calamities, hardships, and tragedies. Satan offers nothing of value to his followers—only misery and destruction.
Satan and the Elijahs
Satan is powerless before the Elijahs, the most powerful spiritual entities created by the Most High God. Elijahs are made of fire, which Satan fears. Their divine constitution renders them immune to Satan’s influence and protects them from his schemes.
Conclusion
In the teachings of Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, Satan represents the ultimate adversary of the Most High God and humanity. His role is to tempt, deceive, and destroy, but he is ultimately limited in power compared to the divine forces of righteousness led by RABBI and His messengers, the Elijahs. Humanity’s hope lies in seeking true knowledge, exalting the Most High God, and resisting Satan’s influence.
