The Asomdwee Ntonton Som of Ghana, also known as the Third Religion of the Most High God RABBI, is headquartered in Ekumfi Otuam in the Central Region of Ghana. Its forerunners are Judaism and Islam. The religion was founded by Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, who is recognized as the long-awaited Elijah prophesied to descend to earth in the End of Days. The prophecy in Malachi 4:5 states:
“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”
Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh is also identified as the Spirit of Truth, whom Jesus Christ of Nazareth foretold would come to lead humanity to greater truths. In John 16:12-13, Jesus told His disciples:
“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of Truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”
Gender Roles in the Three Religions
As the Spirit of Truth, Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh continues to provide deeper insights into God’s scriptures, revealing mysteries long hidden from humanity. On December 28, 2024, during the Ogyebea Festival, Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh addressed the issue of gender roles in the Religions of the Most High God. According to His teachings, there are three such religions: Judaism, Islam, and Asomdwee Ntonton Som. He explained that each religion has its own allocation of roles between women and men, as ordained by God:
- Judaism: Women: 50%, Men: 50%. In Judaism, women and men are equally assigned roles, reflecting balance and shared responsibilities in carrying out God’s divine plan.
- Islam: Women: 30, Men: 70%. Islam emphasizes the central role of men, assigning them 70% of the responsibilities in the religion.
- Asomdwee Ntonton Som: Women: 50%. Men: 50% In Asomdwee Ntonton Som, gender equality is fundamental. Both women and men will be given equal opportunities and responsibilities in spiritual leadership, religious practices, and spreading divine truths. Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh encouraged members of Asomdwee Ntonton Som to anticipate even greater roles for women as the religion becomes fully established. This forward-looking statement underscores the centrality of women in the faith and the expectation that their influence will continue to grow as the religion develops.
A Message of Balance and Inclusion
Somafo Yawoh’s teachings emphasize the vital roles that women play in spiritual life across the three Religions of the Most High God RABBI. By advocating for balance and inclusion, he challenges patriarchal traditions and highlights the divine purpose behind gender equity. This perspective reflects a vision of unity, fairness, and the acknowledgment of women’s indispensable contributions to religious and spiritual growth.
