Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh

The Righteous Messenger of God

The name Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi translates to “The Righteous One,” while Nyame Somafo translates to “Messenger of God.” Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh emphasizes that the name Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi is not a mere title adopted like those used by some Christian pastors in Ghana. Instead, He asserts that this name originates from the divine realm. According to Him, Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi is a name assigned to Him in the “Heaven of Heavens.”

He further teaches that a prophecy in Malachi 4:2 foretold the coming of the Righteous One:

“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth and leap like calves of the stall.”

Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh identifies Himself with this prophecy, explaining that the reference to “healing in his wings” signifies the power of the Righteous One to heal through the laying on of hands. This is the hallmark of Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh’s ministry—healing the sick and afflicted by placing His hands on them.

Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh also draws a distinction between symbols associated with other religious figures and His own. He explains that Jesus the Christ is symbolized by the star, Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be unto Him) by the moon, and He, Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, is represented by the sun. The sun, He explains, signifies the fulfillment of the prophecy as the Sun of Righteousness, embodying divine healing and enlightenment.
