“I Have Cast Out the Nogokpo Fetish and Four Other Major Fetishes from the Volta Region,” Says Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh: Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh and the Spiritual Cleansing of Ghana

Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh is the Founder and Spiritual Leader of Asomdwee Ntonton Som, which He proclaims as the Third Religion of the Most High God RABBI. Headquartered in Ekumfi Otuam in Ghana’s Central Region, Asomdwee Ntonton Som identifies itself as an Exaltation Religion, whose members call upon the name of the Most High God, RABBI, in worship. The religious foundation of this Religion is drawn from Zephaniah 3:9 and Jeremiah 33:3.

• Zephaniah 3:9 states: “For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.”

• Jeremiah 33:3 states: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

At present, Asomdwee Ntonton Som counts approximately 30,000 adherents in Ghana, with additional members in several countries overseas. As part of His divine mandate, Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh has overseen the construction of the Third Temple of God in Ekumfi Otuam.

In addition to establishing this religious community, Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh has declared His intention to purge Ghana of all evil spiritual entities, particularly idols and fetishes, which He contends are widespread in the country.

In recent weeks, Ɔkrɔnkrɔnyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh—who identifies Himself as the Promised Elijah and the End-of-Days Messiah foretold to descend to earth in the final era—has embarked on a spiritual mission across the Volta Region as part of His broader mandate to rid Ghana of malevolent powers. His crusade has thus far taken Him to four major towns: Sogakope, Hohoe, Adidome, and Juapong. While in Adidome, He announced that He had already neutralized the prominent Nogokpo shrine, asserting that the fetish, along with four other major idols in the Region, had been consigned to hellfire. He further explained that the custodian of the shrine is aware of the development, as the fetishes have ceased to respond to ritual commands—an indication, He insists, that they have been decisively extirpated.
